Many students finished their winter break writing today. We're working on an invitation for you to hear your child read their work. Stay tuned for more info! In math, students continued with two digit addition with re-grouping (47+38). Students are almost ready to have a unit test and move on to subtraction. Students wrote their unit test in science on magnetism. I'll send the tests home on Monday, so you can see how your child understood the concepts covers.
In the afternoon, we began an art card making project, had gymnastics and in social studies learned a bit more about the Inuit Games. These are games played by people in Canada's North and help give us a better understanding of the ways of life of Indigenous people. Students are learning about Iqaluit, NU and also participate in the Inuit Games.
Tomorrow is wear "clothing with math patterns" which your child can participate in if they wish.
