We started off our day by doing a science experiment.  We tested 12 different items to see which were the best absorbers, or most absorbent.  Check out the very serious scientists below, recording both their prediction and then the results. 

After our first snack and recess, we came in and spoke about what a natural resource is and what some natural resources might be here in and around Calgary.  We'll spend some more time understanding natural resources as this is a tricky concept for us.  Students also read in their Guided Reading groups.
