This morning, students participated in their first round of guided reading.  There is still some work to be done on the reading expectations but things went quite well.  We also heard from our Star of the Week. In math, we again looked at strategies that can be used when doing addition.  Students also continued to do some place value work and Thursday students will write an assessment.  Also in FLA in the afternoon, students were placed into groups of 4 and asked to make a story with a beginning, middle and end. Each group was given a large, French book that they could cut up to make their own story.  We'll continue this work all week.  Ask your child about their story.  Students had music today and we went outside for a movement break in the afternoon. 
We did not get to Math Monday game and I don't like to send it home unless we have a chance to first play in class.  I'll teach them the game tomorrow and will sent it home for you.
